Moose are seen fairly often in the Palouse hills region, usually in the transitional areas between trees and fields. These moose were residents at Steptoe Butte State Park in Eastern Washington, where they enjoyed eating the apples and grasses near the parking area, which is surrounded by many thick bushes and trees. This mother moose had two baby moose with her, and if you look closely, you can see the second baby relaxing in the grass right in front of the mother's chest.
