"Great Horned Owlets"
I was photographing flowers at our friends' ranch south of Lewiston, Idaho when one of them told me about a Great Horned Owl nest in a tree near their house. He said that the baby owls would usually to start peeking their heads out of the nest around late afternoon each day. So, as the sun started to go down, we went in to their house, and from their deck I set up my camera pointing directly toward the nest hole. Sure enough, in a few minutes, these little down covered babies started awakening from their daytime slumber and were squirming to get a view outside their tree. My friend and I were both pretty excited that I got this sweet photograph of these two yellow-eyed fuzz balls!
