"Palouse Perspective" Hardcover Book
This book is no longer being sold through this website as we are out of stock! A few hardcover books are still available in some Palouse area stores. Click here for a list (you might want to call stores first to be sure the book is still in stock).
***Alison's soft cover Palouse photography book, "The Palouse ~ A Favorite Place" is still available and it has all different photos than the hard cover "Palouse Perspective" book.***
A Note From Alison..."Palouse Perspective" has sold out, except for 12 copies which I am going auction off in 2021. THANK YOU to all who made this book such a success! It's a scary thing to self publish, especially a book of this expense due to its high number of color pages printed, gold embossing, linen wrapped hard cover, etc. When the first edition of 5000 books was delivered and there were palettes of books filling our garage, it was overwhelming to think I'd have to sell them all. But all those books did all find their own homes and the second edition did as well! People's love of the Palouse region and their support of local artists has made this possible. I am so very grateful for all of you who have purchased this book and encouraged me along the way. I'll post information about the auction of the remaining 12 books in a few months. ~ Alison
About "Palouse Perspective"
"Palouse Perspective" features 150 of Alison's color photographs of the hills, barns, rivers, and wildflowers of the Palouse region. Many of the images in the book are displayed on this website in the Palouse Gallery of images.
This 9x12", 144-page hard cover book has a gold foil embossed title on a rich, dark green linen cover with a full color dust jacket. The book contains a map of the region with a description of where the Palouse is located and what the word "Palouse" means. Short descriptions of the landscape, people, history, and barns of the region are included, as well as quotes by other authors about the Palouse, which provide further insight into the charms of the area.
"I purchased your first edition of this book when it first came out and gave it to my father. He LOVED it! Ever since then whenever I need a gift for someone who cares about the Palouse I get one of your beautiful books. No one does it better, Alison!"
