"Little Bull Moose"
Many folks tell me stories of "their" moose--the ones that spend time eating their willow trees or at their field edges. Even though some people get miffed by the damage a moose can do to plants, most are just excited to have amazing wildlife where they can watch it so close to home.
Moose are fairly common in the lakes region of North Idaho and along the wooded edges of the Palouse. This little guy spent the morning munching on some bushes overlooking Lake Coeur d'Alene near my neighbor's house. My giddy neighbor called me up to tell me about him being there and this moose became a welcome sight at her property for the rest of the year.
