"Paintbrush on Paradise Ridge, Moscow, Idaho"

Indian Paintbrush has always been one of my favorite native wildflowers. Besides just having a neat name, their tall flower stalks are somewhat unique shaped among flowers in our region and they're often found in places where native plants thrive, on grassy hilltops and field edges, generally with open skies above. These brilliant orange and yellow paintbrush flowers blanketed Paradise Ridge south of Moscow, Idaho after a very rainy spring and was one of the thickest patches of paintbrush I've ever seen.
