"Morning at the Rookery, Tamiami Trail, Florida"

This is one of the first successful photographs I ever took. It's still one of my favorites because I think many challenging elements of nature photography come together well in it--composition, subject matter, mood, texture, and light. I worked hard for this image, scouting and traveling to the location and then setting up before dawn on numerous days until the light and birds "co-operated". It was worth it!

This image may be ordered as an unmounted photograph or the photograph may be ordered mounted and double matted. The matted versions of this print come with a light blue top mat over a slate blue liner mat.
