Near the town of Palouse, Washington is Kamiak Butte, which has trails that you can hike up through the trees to clearings that provide great views for pictures. This one was taken from the top of the butte, looking toward the larger town of Pullman, Washington.
About this Image Camas is a member of the lily family that grows throughout western North America, mostly in meadow areas that are wet during the winter and early spring. Native Americans harvested camas bulbs and they may have even lit fires on the camas prairies to help a better crop of camas grow.
