Print Quality: Photographs are printed on high quality matte surface photographic paper by a process which provides exceptional clarity, color saturation and print longevity. With a long life span of over 70 years, the prints will maintain their color when framed under glass and displayed away from bright light and high humidity.

Matted print samples-11x14 and 8x10 overall sizeMatted and Framed Prints: Most photographs are available with matting which complements the image and makes the print ready for framing in standard-sized frames. Matted prints are cold dry mounted with an archival dry adhesive on acid free backing and are double matted with high quality acid free cotton rag mat board.

The mat colors available for each image are described on the enlargement detail page of each image. Matted photographs come with an informational label on the back and are sleeved in clear plastic for protection until framing.

Alternative matting and mounting options are available, often at no additional charge. All photographs are also available with custom framing, but there are so many frame styles available that it's difficult to list them all on this site. Call or email me to discuss your custom matting or framing requests.

Title and Signature Details: Prints 5x7" and larger are signed in metallic ink on a bottom corner of the photograph. Prints are delivered with a label stating information about the photographer and the prints. The title of unmatted prints is hand written on the informational label. The title of matted prints is hand written on the front of the mat in black ink. If you desire, you may request that your mat be untitled in the "comments" portion of the online order form, when you place your order.

Technology: For over 20 years, I photographed with 35mm Minolta cameras outfitted with a variety of lenses, using a tripod whenever possible, and Fujichrome slide films. In early 2007, I started using a Canon 5D digital SLR, which has improved the workflow for creating fine photographs with high clarity and color accuracy.

Professional digital scanning and printing technology has vastly improved photographic print quality. These technological improvements help me create photographic prints with exceptional color fidelity, sharpness, tonal range and longevity.

Transparency film originals are drum scanned using the industry's highest quality commercial scanning technology. These scans, as well as the images taken with my Canon digital camera, provide digital files from which I make all artistic decisions regarding cropping, color correction, and density adjustments.

Dust, film scratches, and other photographic technology-related distractions are removed to render the cleanest representation of the photographed scene.

Photoshop and other image editing software programs have added another dimension to my photographic creativity and I've had great fun making variations of some of my original images. Images that have been significantly manipulated are usually pretty obvious, but they are labeled as such in the individual image descriptions.

The online representations of the photographs have been displayed to appear as close as possible to the original photographic images. The photographic prints available for purchase, however, may have slightly different color than what your monitor may display, due to differences in monitor settings and other technical factors.

Print Care: For longest lasting color and print adhesion of mounted prints, photographs should be displayed away from long-term direct sunlight and high humidity.
